Day 26 – Cook book collection

I’m suffering from dejection.
I need a brand new direction
to cure my husband’s affection
for collection, for collection.

There’re everywhere that I look
in the house. In every nook
I will find yet another book
on how to cook, on how to cook.

I know I am a beginner,
but I think I’m on a winner
and I hope I’m getting thinner.
Soup for dinner! Soup for dinner!

I think it will cause a riot,
my telling him nice and quiet
I can’t use all those cook books yet
On a diet! On a diet!

But I think his point is valid –
eating mostly soup and salad
makes him go a little pallid.
What a ballad! What a ballad!

Day 26 Exercise –  a poem about collections. I chose a monotetra poem.
