My evening dog walk looked like it would be a pleasant stroll through the woods, just listening to birdsong. There was no-one about. A mist was gradually descending but the last vestiges of weak sunshine were still flickering through the bare branched trees.
I wandered along throwing Hector the occasional stick. Just as we rounded a bend in the dirt track he lost interest in the stick, and started scratching around in the leaves at the base of an ancient oak. I whistled him, but he seemed intent on carrying on scrabbling amongst the rotting leaves. I returned and put on his lead, but he still refused to budge and kept digging.

The Diatelle is a fun, syllable counting form like the Etheree with a twist. The syllable structure of the diatelle is as follows: 1/2/3/4/6/8/10/12/10/8/6/4/3/2/1, but unlike an etheree, has a set rhyme pattern of abbcbccaccbcbba. It looks best centre aligned in a diamond shape.
